VI COMMANDO

Prt. Les Mapstore served in HQ Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, June 1944 as a Clerk in the Orderly room. 

Prt. Les Mapstore is also noted as serving on General Bernard Montgomery’s Commando bodyguard detail (July to September 1944).
